This is a collection of ‘old and new’ tunes, a couple of which are nods to musicians whose impact I have felt over the years. The influence of Miles Davis, Jimi Hendrix and Pink Floyd on/in my music surfaces in direct and in-direct ways. The absorption of the music of others can create a unique voice for musicians. ‘Hop, Skip, and a Jump’ and ‘Evening Saunter’ are new tunes which explore a long form. ‘Songs of the Humpback Whale’ was written over forty years ago, while ‘Miles’ and ‘imiiimi’ were both written over 20 years ago.

Mr Malouf has been involved in music from his early childhood. He has played in rock bands, experimental bands, and jazz bands. He is a graduate of Berklee College of Music, Bowling Green State University, and Ball State University. His focus has been on improvisation which is creating music in real time.
